I honestly believe the easiest way to get online and do what you have asked is blogger. They allow you to run ads add custom domains they even give you free https. I also like that blogger gives you hosting that is like 99.99% uptime and they don't require any horrid back link like Wix and other free services do. So for a branding free expirenced blogger is the way to go.
